Velura Hair (“Velura,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit velurahair.ca or buy our products, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It is written to comply with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws.
We currently sell and ship within Canada only. At launch, orders to Quebec are not accepted. If you are a Quebec resident, please do not submit personal information to us through this site; we will update this policy when we begin serving Quebec.

We share personal information only with service providers that help us operate the store. Each is bound by contract or its own published terms to use the information only to provide services to us.

When you first visit the site, a cookie banner asks whether you accept optional cookies. Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel, and Shopify’s storefront analytics load only after you select “Accept.” Nothing optional loads before you make a choice, and nothing optional loads if you select “Decline.”
You can change your mind at any time. Select “Cookie preferences” in the site footer to reopen the banner and withdraw or give consent. If you withdraw consent, we stop these tools and delete the Google Analytics and Meta Pixel cookies set on velurahair.ca. Information already collected before you withdrew consent is handled under the providers’ retention periods described in Section 7.
Checkout is hosted by Shopify. We pass your cookie choice to Shopify, and Shopify’s own checkout analytics apply during checkout under Shopify’s privacy policy.
You can also refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers also let you block third-party cookies specifically. Disabling cookies may break parts of the site, including checkout.

If you sign up for our newsletter or check the marketing consent box at checkout, we may send you emails about new products, restocks, sales, and content from Velura. We deliver these through Klaviyo.
You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by emailing [email protected]. We will continue to send transactional messages (order confirmations, shipping updates, customer service replies) regardless of your marketing preferences.
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or irreversibly anonymize it.

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and reliance on PCI-DSS-compliant payment processors. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach that creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as required by PIPEDA.
Our site may link to third-party websites, including social media platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Review their privacy policies before submitting any information to them.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top reflects the latest version. Material changes will be brought to your attention through a notice on the site or, where appropriate, by email. Your continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
